Air Quality Modelling of Congested Traffic and Effective Road Traffic Improvements |
London
|
| |
The risk of exceedences of air quality limit values in the UK is primarily related to urban areas containing roads with congested traffic. Although the reporting of exceedences will depend on measurements, the consequences of various measures and plans designed to eliminate exceedences will depend crucially on our ability to accurately model the effect of actions taken and specifically to be able to model the emissions and dispersion of heavy traffic on congested roads. This meeting will focus on this topical issue and ways in which air quality can be improved by road traffic measures. |
