Membership Costs

The Institution is sensitive to our members’ needs in the current economic climate so has made every attempt to make subscriptions as low as possible. In 2010 membership fees were frozen across all membership categories and in 2011 the IES kept increases to the UK inflationary rate. The IES Council wishes to release funds to strongly support those members who are seeking work. IAQM and CEnv subscriptions remain frozen and we are pleased to announce a new unemployed rate for CEnv and CSci.

Alternatively they can re-grade to affiliate membership for free. A 75% discount is also available to members who are unemployed or on maternity leave.

Membership fees for relevant associations is often a tax deductible expense. UK tax payers can read more about this at www.hmrc.gov.uk/list3. A letter confirming the tax deductible status of CEnv subscriptions is available here.
