Launch of low carbon business incubator...
The Carbon Trust and TTP Group today announce the launch of Carbon Trust – TTP Incubator, which has been set up to provide consulting services to accelerate the development of start-up and early-stage businesses in the low carbon sector.

Commenting on the launch, Gerald Avison, Managing Director of TTP Group said, “The timing of this could not be more appropriate.  Governments around the world are calling for the development and adoption of low carbon and energy efficiency technologies.  The UK is renowned for the quality of its innovation and we will use TTP Group’s experience in developing and supporting technology businesses to help UK plc capture this growing market and play its part in tackling global warming.”

Rachael Nutter, Business Incubator Manager at the Carbon Trust, commented: “The Low Carbon Incubator programme is designed for any early stage low carbon business which shows true commercial and technological promise but is not quite investor-ready.  Although there is growing interest in the potential returns offered by the low carbon economy, there are lots of good ideas that need hands-on business support and coaching if they are to raise funding and reach their commercial potential”.

The Carbon Trust – TTP Incubator will help relevant young businesses with free services across a range of issues from assessing and engaging the market, to securing IP rights, to understanding manufacturing options or to getting the right management team in place. Applicants may be developers of clean technology, or service providers supporting the adoption of clean technology.
