Education Pack
Are you a sixth form tutor based in the UK? Would your school be interested in an assembly talk related to air pollution and non-exhaust emissions?
Part of this research involves the promotion of environmental science in higher education. Talking to sixth form students who are learning to drive or thinking about learning would help reduce non-exhaust emissions through education. The presentation, carried out by our researchers, aims to highlight the issues associated with air pollution.
If your school is interested, contact Samantha Lawrence. Please put 'talk request' in the subject line. Talks are allocated on a first come, first served basis. All travel costs will be covered by our research grant.
Do you have display space for a poster which advertises this website and increases awareness of air pollution and non-exhaust emissions? If so, please fill out the order form and email to Samantha Lawrence, putting 'poster request' in the subject line.
Pupils have the opportunity to win £30 worth of Amazon vouchers by answering this simple question:
What are the four different non-exhaust emission sources?
To enter please email your answer along with your name, contact details and school's name and address to non-exhaust@ies-uk.org.uk. Please type "non-exhaust competition" in the subject line. Closing date is 31st October 2009. The competition is only open to primary and secondary school aged children.
