IAQM
Who are they: The Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) is the authoritative voice for air quality, which maintains, enhances and promotes the highest standards of working practices in the field and for the professional development of those who undertake this work.
Relationship to the IES: The IES provides support to the work of the IAQM committee and administers their financial and membership records. The IAQM acts as a formal committee on air quality within the IES.
SocEnv
Who are they: The Society for the Environment is an independent, not for profit organisation incorporated by Royal Charter to license and award the title Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) to professional individuals through its licensed members.
Relationship to the IES: The IES is a founder body and licensed to award Chartered Environmentalist.
PP4SD
Who are they: PP4SD (Professional Practice for Sustainable Development) is a project dedicated to promoting sustainable practice among professionals, through the development and dissemination of continuing professional development materials and events that encouraging cross-professional dialogue and learning.
Relationship to the IES: The IES is the lead partner within the organisation and provides administrative support.
Science Council
Who are they: The Science Council is an umbrella organisation that brings together learned societies and professional bodies across science and its applications.
Relationship to the IES: The IES is a member body and is licensed by the Science Council to award Chartered Scientist.
CHES
Who are they: The Committee of Heads of Environmental Sciences (CHES) is the collective voice of the environmental sciences and related programmes in higher and further education. CHES plays a leading role in the Higher Education Environmental Science community and advocates for environmental science within education.
Relationship to the IES: After working closely together for over a decade in 2013 CHES merged with the IES and now serves as its education committee.
ENEP
Who are they: ENEP is the European Network of Environmental Professionals developed by EFAEP, the European Federation of Associations of Environmental Professionals. It is intended to provide a knowledge base and an information interchange tool between Environmental Professionals, Public Institutions and Private Organizations searching for personnel.
Relationship to the IES: The IES is a member.
