Adam Donnan

Chief Executive Officer

Adam role includes creating strategy for the organisation, acting as an external representative and directing and controlling key resources. He spends two days a week at the IES and is currently on secondment at the Society of the Environment for three days as their interim CEO. He is also Vice President of ENEP, Treasurer of CHES, non-Executive Director of Change Agents UK and a member of the Project Management Group of PP4SD. He has a bold vision of the way modern professional bodies should operate towards the public good and is constantly striving for innovation in the way the IES delivers its membership services. He holds a MBA and a BA in History.

Ruth Bowyer

Projects & Membership Officer

Ruth is the IES membership officer and provides support for a number of key projects. Ruth comes from an ecological background having graduated from an MSc in Applied Ecology and Conservation from UEA and is interested in ecosystem functioning and behavioural ecology, particularly in marine and urban ecosystems. She has previously worked for conservation and ecotourism organisation Crees, UEA and the University of Sheffield.

Emma Fell

Marketing & Events Manager

Emma has joined the IES team to co-ordinate our marketing and to further develop the frequency of the events we hold. In particular she will be focusing on increasing the number of local events that we hold through our regional groups. Emma has experience of marketing for music organisations and food markets. She holds a BA in Philosophy.

Dominic Sheldon

Research Intern

Dominic has joined the IES as a Research Intern. He will be working on several projects including analysis documents and the salary survey.

Dominic graduates this year from the University of East Anglia with a BSc in Environmental Sciences, having specialised in the communication and public perception of climate change. He previously worked for the Solar Energy Industries Association in Washington, DC and University of Maine. 

Darren Walker

Graphic Designer

Darren is contracted to produce many of our graphic designs, including putting together our journals, reports and contributing assets for the website. Darren is freelance graphic designer whose work can be found at darrengraphicdesign.com. Darren is also a music producer, artists and fashion designer. He holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.
